a master’s prepared nurse educator with 30 years of perioperative
nursing experience. Her experience includes education of Surgical
Technologist, Perioperative Nurses, and RN First Assistants. Ms.
Bak is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, Phi Kappa Phi, the Association
of Surgical Technologist, and the Association of periOperative
Nurses. She has served as the president of the SePA president of
AORN.
Ms. Bak is an author and contributor to perioperative nursing. She
is the Director of Perioperative Programs at Delaware County
Community College in Media, PA.
Michelle A. Muhammad, CST, AAS is an Associate
Degree, Certified Surgical Technologist with 29 years of experience
in the operating room. Her experience includes mentoring and
educating Surgical Technologists and Perioperative Nurses in the
operating room environment. Mrs. Muhammad has served in the
Association of Surgical Technologists in many official capacities.
She is currently an instructor for the Surgical Technology program
at Delaware County Community College in Media, PA.
