Promotional Information

This is an attractive-looking chunky book detailing Vauxhall history, chronology and car models, a hardback in full colour throughout - an excellent present for a Vauxhall or classic car enthusiast. Written by renowned motoring author Eric Dymock, it's an update of The Vauxhall File all models since 1903, but comes in a larger size book, bringing the company and its models up to date with pictures up to 2016.Vauxhall Model by Model studies a continuous history from engines on Thames-side Lambeth to car factories in Luton and Merseyside. Vauxhall led Edwardian splendour with the Prince Henry and the 30-98, and transformed popular cars in Britain with independent front suspension and integral body structures. In 1914 it made D-type army staff cars and in 1941 Churchill tanks. Taken over by General Motors in 1927, Vauxhall was integral to British industry, but may have an uncertain future following acquisition by Peugeot.
