About the Author

Ian Hutchby is Professor of Sociology at Brunel University. He is the author of Confrontation Talk (1996), Conversation Analysis (with Robin Wooffitt, 1998) and Conversation and Technology (2001); and editor (with Jo Moran-Ellis) of Children and Social Competence (1998) and Children, Technology and Culture (2001).
