Reviews

A remarkably helpful guide... The Analysis will make it much easier for us to delve into the richness of Calvin's thought.--John Van Dyk (Pro Rege)

Should be of considerable help to the student as he threads his way through the lengthy theological classic, under the guidance of a foremost Calvin scholar.--R. Swanton (Reformed Theological Review)

Students and teachers of Calvin are [now] further indebted to Ford Lewis Battles, the noted Calvin translator and scholar. . . .With the availability of the Analysis, perhaps more people will take up the challenge and read (and more to teach!) the Institutes.--David Foxgrover (Sixteenth Century Journal)

The author demonstrates a great gift of interpreting Calvin for the beginner, who will value this volume.--Richard Klann, Concordia Journal

Will surely prove to be a useful guide for serious students of the Institutes, providing a comprehensive overview of the longer work.--Maria Bulgarella (Calvin Theological Journal)
