Reviews

The War with the Ottoman Empire is a solid contribution to a growing body of literature that considers the Ottoman perspective on the conflict Kate Ariotti, Australian Journal of Politics and History a book that captures the strategic and operational complexity of the campaigns waged against the Ottoman Empire ... Grey handles the narrative brilliantly in a book that is written in an accessible style and well illustrated throughout with appropriate photographs and useful maps. Most impressive is the fact that he summarises the existing literature ... in a clear fashion, but also integrates into his narrative a solid grasp of the primary source material held in British and Australian archives. James E. Kitchen, Army Historical Research
