About the Author

Cynthia M. Horne is Professor of Political Science at Western Washington University. Her recent research has focused on assessing the impact of transitional justice measures on trust-building, societal reconciliation and democratization in the post-communist transitions. Her articles have appeared in peer reviewed journals, such as the International Journal of Transitional Justice, Comparative Political Studies, Problems of
