Reviews

I would have little confidence in the patient care offered by an old age psychiatrist who has not perused a copy of at least one edition of this book...The Oxford Textbook of Old Age Psychiatry, Second Edition continues to lead the field as a comprehensive, internationally relevant textbook of old age psychiatry and can be recommended virtually without restriction. International Psychogeriatrics Review from previous edition An essential reference book, both for dipping into during idle moments and for vital information when asked tricky questions by your trainee. If you own a previous edition, you will be missing out if you don't replace it. British Journal of Psychiatry Oxford University Press has done an excellent job in producing an attractive, solidly bound volume at reasonable cost. It is in my view the best book of its kind in our specialty. International Psychogeriatrics, Vol 14, No 4 Any reader with a professional interest in the well-being of older people will profit from joining at least part of the journey through this book and will emerge stimulated and keen to know more. Psychological Medicine This is the best book I have seen in my clinical training for geriatric psychiatry. Doody's Journal
