Reviews

"This comprehensive, highly-informative, and thought-provoking handbook is an extraordinary treasure trove of information about Chinese linguistics that are of wider theoretical significance. The Handbook should be required reading for any graduate students in Chinese linguistics. It will undoubtedly serve as an indispensable reference for any scholar working on issues in/related to Chinese linguistics. Indeed anyone with interests in general linguistics will
find this Handbook constructive." -- Danjie Su (University of Arkansas), Studies in Language Vol. 41:4
"It is safe to say that the various chapters of this book amount to a more wide-ranging account of the Chinese language than has ever before been assembled in a single volume, certainly in a European language and probably at all... I learned a great deal from this book." --Linguist List
