(both as Sothern and Harriette Lake) in films, theatre, radio,
television, and on disc. (She even includes a listing of products
which the actress has endorsed!) There is also a more-than-400
entry, annotated bibliography, which is quite extraordinary in its
breadth and depth. What I like about this book is that its author
never comes up with the obvious. In the entry on the Maine-located
The Whales of August, she includes a review not from a major
source, but from one of Maine's newspapers, which examines
Sothern's performance from a regional viewpoint.?-Classic
