The parallel wars of wits and politics on the magical world of Phaze and its technological sister-world Proton take a bizarre twist as the children of the Robot Adept Mach and his Phaze-born counterpart Bane play hide-and-seek for keeps to foil the plans of the Contrary Citizens of Proton and the Adverse Adepts of Phaze. Familiar characters from previous series titles come together for a rousing climax in this ``conclusion'' to one of Anthony's most endearing series. Recommended.-- JC
