James F. Dunnigan is the author of many books and over a hundred historical simulations. He has been a lecturer to the State Department, the CIA, and the U.S. Army War College. He lives in New York City. James F. Dunnigan and Albert A. Nofi are the authors of hundreds of books and articles on military affairs and war-game simulations. Dunnigan, whose books include A Quick and Dirty Guide to War (Quill, 1991) and How to Make War (Quill, 1988), has been a consultant to the State Department, the CIA, and the Army War College. Nofi is the editor of the series The Great Campaigns of Military History and is associate editor of Strategy and Tactics magazine.
