Ken Pearce was a pupil at Bishopshalt School in Hillingdon Village, and later returned to teach there for thirty-two years. He is now the school archivist. Ken has been the chairman of Uxbridge Local History Society since 1970. In 1997 he was awarded an honorary master's degree by Brunel University for services to local history. This is Ken's fifth book for Sutton Publishing.
