Micheal Clodfelter, a Vietnam veteran, is the author of several books, including Warfare and Armed Conflicts (2008), The Lost Battalion and the Meuse-Argonne, 1918 (2007), Vietnam in Military Statistics (1995) and The Dakota War (2006). He does research and consulting work for the Dupuy Institute of Military History and lives in Lawrence, Kansas.
