Bell Hooks is the renowned social critic, writer, and feminist intellectual. She lives in New York where she is a distinguished professor of English at City College. This is her first book for children. Chris Raschka's other picture books include the Caldecott Honour book Yo! Yes?, Charlie Parker Played Be Bop, Mysterious Thelonious, and Like Like Like. He also lives and works in New York.
