About the Author

Sarah Carter teaches history at the Univerisity of Alberta. Bill Yeo has retired from his position as Senior Historian and Chief of Historical and Archaeological Research for Parks Canada. Simon Evans is a professor of geography at the Memorial University of Newfoundland. Simon Evans is a professor of geography at the Memorial University of Newfoundland. Klassen taught history for many years at the University of Calgary. His academic pursuits centred around the study of Canadian business and financial history. His book, A Business History of Alberta, was shortlisted for the Scholarly Book of the Year at the 2000 Alberta Book Awards. Max Foran has been working the field of western Canadian history for over thirty years and has published on various urban, rural, and cultural topics. He is currently a professor in the Department of Communication and Culture at the University of Calgary.
