Gary S. Schwartz, MD, is a comprehensive ophthalmologist in private practice in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He is an Adjunct Associate Professor in Ophthalmology at the University of Minnesota, where he teaches optics, refraction, and surgical techniques to ophthalmology residents and ophthalmic technologist students. He has received awards for his skills as a teacher from both medical students and ophthalmology residents at the University of Minnesota.
“. . .this book is very unique and desirable. Even though a
plethora of information is included, it is presented in an easy to
digest format. I would highly recommend this book for all new
optometry students and ophthalmology residents to the clinic.”
— Brian D. Marshall, OD, Doody’s Reviews "…provides an
outstanding overview of the theoretic aspects of the eye exam, and
it provides an excellent foundation for students and novice eye
care professionals just beginning to get hands-on, practical
experience working in the eye clinic. Schwartz's adherence to just
detailing the basic facts, and his relaxed writing style makes this
book accessible not only to ophthalmic students and professionals,
but also to motivated lay readers."
— Sheldon Ztvordokov, Large Print Review
