About the Author

As Founder-Director of the Blue Mountain Center of Meditation, Eknath Easwaran taught meditation to thousands of people, without charge, since 1961. His course at the University of California, Berkeley - on which this series of talks is based - was the first credit course on meditation offered at a major university. Easwaran wrote 26 books with a total of over a million copies in print. They include commentaries on the works of mystics and scriptures of the major religions, translations of Indian scriptures, spiritual biographies, and even books for children. His titles are translated into 26 languages. A superb selection of his talks, recorded in audio and video, are published by Nilgiri Press.
