About the Author

B. K. VENKANNA is Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Sri Basaveshwar Engineering College, Bagalkot, Karnataka. He obtained his B.E. (Mechanical) degree from K.U.D., Karnataka in 1984 and M.E. (Thermal Sciences) from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, in 1987. He is in teaching profession since 1984. He is actively engaged in research work in thermal sciences (I.C. engines, alternative fuels, combustion, heat transfer and solar energy) and has published/presented 19 research papers in various national/international journals/conferences. He has guided over 40 sponsored projects and some of them have been adjudged superlative work.
