Rishi Kumar Mishra was 'discovered' by his guru, the outstanding scholar Pandit Motilal Shastri, unlike the normal practice of a disciple seeking out the guru. The author worked as a journalist, rising to become Editor-in-chief of several daily newspapers and weekly magazines with a national and international focus on politics and economics. He was a member of the Upper House of the Indian Parliament between 1974 and 1980, and had rich and varied experience as a trade unionist, social activist and political adviser.
"The book refutes negative stereotypes of Hinduism by correlating the teachings of the Vedas with the deductions of modern science. The author argues that ideas should not be rejected as unscientific merely because they are associated with religion or mysticism. A useful addition to any library.' Indian Review of Books
