Stuart Yeaman, AM, served in the Royal Australian Engineers for 26 years and was made a Member of the Order of Australia for his time in command of the Fourth Reconstruction Task Force. He retired from the Army in 2013.
Much of what we have come up with is modelled on what the Dutch have done. The Dutch forces in Afghanistan came up with the model of the three Ds: defence, diplomacy and development.
