Henry B. Bigelow (1879-1967) was the founding director of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute; William C. Schroeder (1895-1977) was widely considered the world's expert on skates, rays, and sharks; Bruce B. Collette is currently the senior scientist at the National Marine Fisheries Service's National Systematics Laboratory; Grace Klein-MacPhee is a research scientist at the University of Rhode Island's Graduate School of Oceanography.
