Valerie Barrett has worked as a food writer and stylist for many years. She started her career in advertising, then went on to work for Good Housekeeping magazine as a food editor and recipe developer. She has since worked extensively for magazines such as BBC Good Food and Delicious and has written books on a wide range of baking topics including chocolate, gingerbread, cookies and children's cooking.
