Reviews

"Claudia Schiffer, naked and coming to a coffee table near you. To mark the 30th anniversary of the German super-model’s career — she was discovered in a Düsseldorf disco at age 17 — Rizzoli is putting out “Claudia Schiffer” by Schiffer, a collection of her favorite fashion moments to be published in October. The cover image is Schiffer in the buff and bathed in ethereal light, shot by Mario Testino for Vogue Paris in 2007, and the book features photos by Richard Avedon, Patrick Demarchelier, Arthur Elgort, Steven Klein, Peter Lindbergh, Steven Meisel, Herb Ritts, Francesco Scavullo, Mario Testino and Ellen von Unwerth, who also wrote the foreword."
—Women's Wear Daily

"As a global modeling superstar who rose to fame on more than a thousand magazine covers in the 1990s, Claudia Schiffer became the face and body for just about everything—Chanel, Versace, Armani, Lagerfeld, Dom Pérignon, Chloé, Louis Vuitton, Oscar de la Renta, Ralph Lauren, Liz Claiborne, Prada. Claudia Shiffer (Rizzoli), a stunning collection of some 175 color and black-and white photos spanning the highlights of her career, also includes essays from Anna Wintour, Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell and others."
—Parade Magazine

"When you think of iconic blondes, images of Claudia Schiffer gracing covers of Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, and more are sure to appear in your head. Now, after over three decades in the fashion industry, the German model has composed a collection of her favorite fashion moments—by the industry’s best: Richard Avedon, Patrick Demarchelier, Arthur Elgort, and more—in an eponymous hardcover. "
—Departures

"Fashion’s “eternal blonde”, Schiffer’s graced the covers of every conceivable magazine including Vogue, Elle and Time, and been the face of Chanel and Valentino. This gorgeous book captures memorable moments on a journey that continues even after three decades through the lens of photographers like Demarchelier and Steven Klein."
—Indulge Magazine

"The hardcover book celebrating her legendary career features a foreword by Ellen von Unwerth, and the work of photographers Richard Avedon, Arthur Elgort, Steven Klein, Herb Ritts, and Mario Testino."
—Daily Front Row

"A new suitably beautiful book out from Rizzoli and now available on Amazon, written by Schiffer herself and featuring the most stunning shots ever taken of the teutonic temptress by the likes of superstar photogs Herb Ritts, Richard Avedon and Ellen von Unwerth, is currently occupying prime position on our coffee table."

“I met Claudia in 1989 when she was a 19 year-old model who just started working. Our very first shoot together was for the German edition of ELLE. At first I perceived a healthy German girl with a killer smile. After shooting her I realised she had a great resemblance to Brigitte Bardot. As I love to play and have models get into character, so I created that Bardot-esque look for her.”
— Ellen Von Unwerth

“When Claudia first appeared on the fashion scene it was like sunrise—and the sun is still shining.”
— Karl Lagerfeld

“When I first met Claudia, I recognized something of myself in her professionalism and as the years passed, we were able to connect as two women who took the job of modeling seriously, but also love being creative and working in front of the camera. I’ve enjoyed watching her grow and evolve over the years and find her to be one of those women who just gets better with age.”
— Cindy Crawford

“One of the most intriguing women I have ever photographed. I wish I could make a movie with her. She is unexplainable.”
— Steven Klein
