Claudia Schiffer is a German supermodel. At age fifteen, Schiffer was discovered at a nightclub in Düsseldorf by talent scout Michel Levaton who signed her with Elite. Soon after, she moved to Paris and appeared on the cover of Elle. In the early 1990s, Schiffer starred in the highly publicised Guess? Jeans campaign, appeared on the cover of British Vogue, and was selected by Karl Lagerfeld to be the new face of Chanel. Schiffer has appeared on the catwalk for the most eminent fashion houses. Schiffer has released four exercise videos and a cashmere sweater line.

fashion moments to be published in October. The cover image is

Richard Avedon, Patrick Demarchelier, Arthur Elgort, Steven Klein,
Peter Lindbergh, Steven Meisel, Herb Ritts, Francesco Scavullo,
Mario Testino and Ellen von Unwerth, who also wrote the
foreword."

“I met Claudia in 1989 when she was a 19 year-old model who just
started working. Our very first shoot together was for the German
edition of ELLE. At first I perceived a healthy German girl with a
killer smile. After shooting her I realised she had a great
resemblance to Brigitte Bardot. As I love to play and have models
get into character, so I created that Bardot-esque look for
her.”
— Ellen Von Unwerth
“When Claudia first appeared on the fashion scene it was like
sunrise—and the sun is still shining.”
— Karl Lagerfeld
“When I first met Claudia, I recognized something of myself in her
professionalism and as the years passed, we were able to connect as
two women who took the job of modeling seriously, but also love
being creative and working in front of the camera. I’ve enjoyed
watching her grow and evolve over the years and find her to be one
of those women who just gets better with age.”
— Cindy Crawford
“One of the most intriguing women I have ever photographed. I wish
I could make a movie with her. She is unexplainable.”
— Steven Klein
