William T. Ditewig serves as the Executive Director of the Secretariat for the Diaconate for the USCCB. A native of and former high school and college seminarian for the Diocese of Peoria, Illinois, Deacon Ditewig also enjoyed a twenty-two year career in the Navy, serving as a Hebrew and Russian linguist and cryptologic officer, retiring as a Commander.
