Charles Miske escaped from the cubicle seven years ago and embraced a fitness lifestyle based around climbing, hiking and running on the trails of his home states Utah and Colorado. On this journey he has lost 60 pounds and kept it off for over three years. His "carrot on a stick" has been the Seven Summits Quest, to climb the highest peaks on each of the seven continents. Twice he's competed in Elbrus Race, a skyrunning event on the slopes of the highest peak in Europe, deep in the Caucasus Mountains of Russia. "You can't race any higher in Europe" is the race slogan, and it's true, with a target finish line over 18,500' in elevation. He's also run in trail marathon and 50k events.
