Eli Johanne Ellingsve is a place names researcher, adviser to the Norwegian Language Council on place names and an editor of Norsk Ordbok (Dictionary of Norwegian). In Names on Svalbard she comments on the etymology of about 460 place names on Svalbard. The book also has a map indicating the location of the names.
