'In its fifth edition, it was first published more than 30 years ago, when old-age psychiatry was establishing itself as a discrete speciality. It is described as 'a book light enough to read for pleasure but heavy enough to be used as a clinican's main textbook' and I would concur with that. It is a useful update to literature on this subject and should be of interest to individuals working in this field.'
