Sean Russell was born in Toronto, Ontario. His first novel, The Initiate Brother, was the first in a duology of its name and featured a dynastic fantasy adventure set in the world of Wa, similar to ancient China. His influence writing fantasy comes from J. R. R. Tolkien, and he knew he wanted to be a writer since the age of ten.
Praise for the Moontide and Magic Rise duology:
“The compelling first volume in a series titled Moontide and Magic
Rise bodes well for the ones to follow…. A spectacular
beginning of what is sure to be a successful fantasy series.”
—Publishers Weekly
“The first book of Sean Russell’s new series, Moontide and Magic
Rise, is good—surprisingly good, compelling, and intriguing….
It’s great fun.” —Locus
“This book is complex and well-written.” —Kliatt
“Reading World without End is akin to perusing a
narrative by an explorer like Marco Polo or Ferdinand
Magellan. It has that "true" feeling to it. Sean Russell
methodically reveals details until the reader has a full picture of
this world and its peoples.” —Starlog
“Tristam is an excellent hero who struggles not only with
external forces out to do him harm, but with his own internal
demons, which , even if they leave him alive at the end of this
nightmare adventure, will leave him forever changed, forever
haunted.” —Affaire de Coeur
