Reviews

"This concept book would work equally well in the classroom or at storytime." --School Library Journal-- (9/1/2010 12:00:00 AM)

"Trudy Harris's rhyming verses have a kind of jazzy beat that fits with the alley cats. Andrew N. Harris's illustrations anthropomorphize his subjects, clothing them and giving them eyebrows and human-like eyes--both of which get a lot of use, especially when it comes to the other cats' putting up with the fraudulent tallies. Backmatter teaches readers how to use tally marks to count objects. Math and a lesson in friendship rolled into one." --Kirkus Reviews-- (9/1/2010 12:00:00 AM)
