Reviews

[A] superb production, both as a succinct guide and also as a handsome book. No milkweed makes the cut in this assemblage, but plenty of other Texas-viable plants do. Browsing through Trees and Shrubs will likely introduce you to plants you never knew about before, some of which you might be inspired to try in your garden or a patio container.--William Scheick "Texas Gardener" (4/1/2011 12:00:00 AM)

The authors and publisher should be congratulated for their brilliant idea of dividing this plant encyclopedia into two volumes, according to the types of plants. The handy size and plastic cover of the books make them ideal for fieldwork, as well as indoor research.-- "National Garden Clubs, Inc." (6/1/2011 12:00:00 AM)

While the encyclopedia is aimed at gardeners, its worldwide focus makes it a good option for academic and public libraries in need of a handy reference to common or interesting trees and shrubs.--Diane Schmidt "American Reference Books Annual 2012" (4/1/2012 12:00:00 AM)
