About the Author

Daniela Gioseffi arose from a Newark ghetto to become an American Book Award-winning writer. She is also the recipient of the John Ciardi Award for Lifetime Achievement in Poetry, the OSIA NY State Literary Award, and grant awards from Ploughshares World Peace Foundation and NYSCA. A lifetime activist and eco-poet, champion of human rights and dedicated to planetary survival, she is the subject of the 2016 documentary film by Anton Evangelista, titled "Author and Activist."
