About the Author

Vivian Vande Velde mostly writes books set "long ago and far away," because that's the kind of story she's always enjoyed most. In addition to novels, Vande Velde also writes short fiction, which has appeared in many anthologies and publications, including Cricket Magazine, Aboriginal Science Fiction, and Asimov's Science Fiction. She is the author of Magic Can Be Murder and There's a Dead Person Following My Sister Around.
