Convinced that her older brother, missing for many years, has lost his way in the magical ancient forest that borders her home, an adolescent girl braves the dangers of Ryhope Wood in search of its mythical center. Holdstock's latest novel, a sequel to Mythago Wood (LJ 11/15/85), continues the author's darkly fascinating, elegantly written exploration of the landscape of humanity's collective unconscious. Highly recommended.
