In the Glorious City of L?mabantunk, a young man is found guilty of murder, and his punishment is exile-along with his whole family-to another world from which they can never return. Their new home is Earth, where they are considered refugees who must begin their lives anew. How Darroti and his remarkable family learn to cope with a world that is not only harsh and unforgiving but also filled with unexpected generosity forms the heart of Palwick's latest novel, her first in a decade. The author of the award-winning Flying in Place has crafted a unique story of a family's love and the power of forgiveness to transcend the boundary between life and death. Highly recommended for all libraries. Copyright 2005 Reed Business Information.
