Heidi Stemple has published twenty books and numerous short stories
and poems, mostly for children. She and her mother, Jane Yolen,
love to write books together. She lives in Western
Massachusetts.

Massachusetts.
John McKinley has been drawing all his life. He is the celebrated
illustrator of the Ready, Freddy! chapter-book series, which has
more than 13 million books in print. He and his family live on the
Monterey Bay of California's Central Coast.
