About the Author

A former primary school teacher, Alan has written over 50 books and won or been shortlisted for many prestigious awards. His books have been published all over the world and translated into dozens of languages. As well as being a writer, Alan is also an education consultant and is a very popular speaker at schools, libraries, colleges and conferences - he visits over 150 schools a year.
