About the Author

Michael Musgrave was previously Principal Lecturer in Music at Goldsmiths' College. He is the author of The Music of Brahms (RKP, 1985), and Brahms 2: Biographical, Documentary and Analytical Studies (CUP, 1987). He lives in London SE.
