About the Author

About the editor David D. Houghton is Professor of Meleorology of the University of Wisconsin, Dr. Houghton has written over 40 journal articles on topics such as atmospheric dynamics, numerical modeling of general circulation, gravity waves, and satellite mesoscale cloud, wind, and temperature data. He is a fellow of the American Meteorological Society and has been cited in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Technology Today, and Who's Who in Frontier Science and Technology. Dr. Houghton earned his PhD in atmospheric science at the University of Washington.
