Dennis F. Herrick is a full-time lecturer in journalism in the Department of Communication and Journalism at the University of New Mexico. Formerly an instructor in journalism at the University of Iowa, Herrick has extensive media experience over 35 years, including 10 years as a daily newspaper reporter, eight as a congressional chief of staff, and 12 years as owner and publisher of a group of weekly newspapers.
