Reviews

'It is therefore refreshing to read a work that offers a sweeping panorama covering almost 200 years, from 1815 to reunification and beyond...Written as a polemic attack on the percieved failings of the Weimar Republic , it is fascinating...given the enormity of the task the author has set himself, he has succeeded  in condensing 200 years of history  into a little over 700 pages. Therefore I would unhesitatingly recommend this book to newcomers and scholars of German history alike.'
