He is the author of American Skinheads: The Criminology and Control of Hate Crime, The Abandoned Ones: The Imprisonment and Uprising of the Mariel Boat People, and Apocalypse in Oklahoma: Waco and Ruby Ridge Revenged, and the coeditor of Ethnography on the Edge: Crime, Deviance, and Field Research.
