Ju Mipham (1846-1912) displayed a universal genius and his significance for Tibetan Buddhists, in particular the Nyingma school and the non sectarian Ris med movement can hardly be overestimated. Thomas Doctor has worked as a translator for the Ven. Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche and the Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery in Nepal since 1993. He holds and advanced degree in Tibetan Studies from the University of Copenhagen. He lives in Kathmandu, Nepal.
