Richard Whittingham was the author of more than 30 books, including For the Glory of Their Game, The White Sox: A Pictorial History, Skokie, and History of the Dodgers. He collaborated on projects with Joe DiMaggio, Sir Edmund Hilary, and Life magazine. Wellington Mara was a co-owner of the New York Giants, and a son of the team's founder. He had served various positions with the team, working his way up, and is especially notable for introducing the concept of revenue sharing in the National Football League--making him a primary force in the sport's growth. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1997.
