About the Author

John Remington Graham is an experienced trial lawyer and former professor of law. A founding professor of Hamline University School of Law, he has worked as a federal public defender and an advisor to the amicus curiae for Quebec in the Quebec secession case of 1998. He frequently lectures on the constitutionality of secession. DONALD LIVINGSTON is a professor of philosophy at Emory University. He has published two books on the British philosopher David Hume and has been described as "the greatest Hume scholar of the 20th century." Livingston, along with other academics, formed the Abbeville Institute, an organization in higher education dedicated to scholarly study of Southern tradition.
