About the Author

James Lyons is Lecturer in Film Studies at the University of Exeter. He is the co-editor (with Mark Jancovich) of Quality Popular Television (2003). He is the Associate Director of the Bill Douglas Centre for the History of Cinema and Popular Culture, and one of the co-founders of the film journal Scope.
