"Rapid, detailed and accurate...an exciting account by a survivor who is both loyal to the charm of the magic moment and professionally equipped to keep his cool." - The New York Times "In the smallest, most specific and concrete things, the keys to the cosmic are to be found; so Perry grounds himself, almost literally, in the streets of Haight and Ashbury. The research is prodigious." - Los Angeles Times"
