About the Author

Paolo Maggiore has over 20 years of experience in aerospace systems. He works primarily as a Professor of aviation legislation and human factors and aircraft systems at Politecnico di Torino. He collaborates with the Italian aerospace manufacturers such as Alenia Aermacchi and Avio ThalesAlenia. Has a strategic partnership with the airports of Turin and Olbia and Malpensa Hub. He has managed several projects as FP DGTREN for collaborative design in aerospace and for the Italian research on the application of fuel cells in aerospace for the aircraft. propulsion He collaborates since 2006 as aerospace expert consultant with different airports/heliports realities. ​Marco Gajetti has 25 years of experience in the aerospace industry. In 1987 he graduated in electronic engineering from the Politecnico di Torino and started working in aviation at the Alenia Spazio Spa and afterwards in Alenia Finmeccanica group where he was involved in air traffic control, avionics and helicopters. Since 2002 works with Deloitte Consulting Aviation & Transportation as Programme Manager of the Aerospace projects and ATC, he also held the position of deputy safety manager at the airport of Villanova of Albenga Italy and the role of aviation safety advisor at the heliport of Sion Switzerland. He developed specific expertise about traffic sustainability, and economic planning of aeronautical operations for airlines and airports.
