The advances made in understanding the rat nervous system since the last decade when the book was first published are finely incorporated and chapters covering additional systems have been added in this revised edition. This book is a compilation of 60 contributors and edited by an author who has many good books accredited to him including probably one of the most cited books on rat brain in stereotaxic coordinates.... The chapters are written by leading scientists in their respective fields. The chapters... are well organized with comprehensive easy to understand coverage of the subject with very clear supportive diagrams that definitely help in a better appreciation and understanding of the organization of the brain... The clarity of its presentation and the high quality of more than 400 accurately constructed illustrations make this book a very valuable source of information on the rat nervous system.
