About the Author

Anna Gavanas is currently a Marie Curie Fellow at the University of Leeds. Her articles on fatherhood movements have appeared in edited volumes and several scholarly journals.

Reviews

"Anna Gavanas brings a vital international perspective to a uniquely American phenomenon. Her approach to the fatherhood responsibility movement is that of a social anthropologist sensitive to culture as well as politics. The result is an original yet troubling portrait of contemporary American gender relations." -- John Gillis, Professor of History, Rutgers University
