Timothy Matovina is Professor of Theology and Executive Director of the Institute for Latino Studies at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. His publications, most recently Latino Catholicism: Transformation in America's Largest Church, have won ten book awards. Jesus F. de la Teja is Supple Professor of Southwestern Studies, Regents' and University Distinguished Professor of History, and Director of the Center for the Study of the Southwest at Texas State University. His award-winning works include San Antonio de Bexar: A Community on New Spain's Northern Frontier.
